The Power & Control diagram is a helpful tool in understanding the overall pattern of abusive and violent behaviors, which are used by a batterer to establish and maintain control over their partner. Very often, one or more violent incidents are accompanied by an array of these other types of abuse. They are less easily identified, yet firmly establish a pattern of intimidation and control in the relationship.
FACT: Abuse is never a one time event. This chart uses the wheel to show the relationship of physical abuse to other forms of abuse. Each part shows a way to control or gain power.

To read from the beginning… #MyStory starts here.
I named my daughter, Elysia. She is exactly what the name means, sweet and blissful. A place for heavenly souls… I always wondered why, I changed her name after she was born. The name was changed right before the social security person came into my hospital room to record her birth. It was at that moment I changed her name from Elisha to Elysia..I knew very little about the etiology or derivative of Elysium… But, it was in that moment (like seconds) that her name change. I always wondered, why? I think the reasons, why, are becoming clearer, and perhaps there is a link to the star travelers…

A diffusion of The Moon’s beams permeated my sleeping room.
It surrounded my shades and light cast brilliant energy awakening me.
Three in the morning, but I arise and stumble to the invitation to come and see.
Up from slumbering within my warm covers, to the coffee maker, oh, just a cup.
Leaving from inside, and going out, the moon’s rays cover the sky.
The stars now hidden, upstaged by The Moon, it was simply ~
The Moon “simply” lucidly wanted to play.
Oh, how lovely you are …
Now, may I go back to sleep?
