An Ashkenazi Woman (Poetry 2017)

She meandered from The Tribe of Judah

Yet, Ashkenazi Jewish woman, she was

The lamb of God led her upon steps

Following were three Mary’s praying

You shall enter the lands of The Magi

Listening to their teachings and skills

And blessing her as she departed the land

The lion kissed her brow saying

All will be well you shall see

Trust with your heart as you travel

And I have ordered your ways for understanding

She left the land so comfortable

To follow the stars in heaven

The Magi shows her the heavenly placement

And she thanks her father above

For all of His knowledge

Regarding all things living
