Innocence

Loving self first is not a sin.

Loving someone else, is second.

Because, understanding the meaning of self love,

We can then, love one another.

How can you say, I love you?

If you’ve never experienced true endearments.

If you haven’t loved yourself,

Then, your tenderness feels chilly and abhorrent.

When pain comes

And it will.

Your eyes will tell me you’re lying.

My natural instincts know, that someone really isn’t trying.

But, true fondness keeps souls alive.

The love of self; adores others 

It radiates true admiration

When tested it chooses the lover

To give life and accept the dying

Is given by the groom to the bride.
